General Properties:
Duplex stainless steel is composed by any two phase organization of the austenite, ferrite, and martensite about half and half of the proportion. But it usually refers to the austenite-ferrite duplex stainless steel, it possesses both austenite and ferrite stainless steel characteristics, which has the comprehensive mechanical properties of high strength and high toughness ; good resistance to crevice corrosion, pitting corrosion and stress corrosion cracking ability; good resistance to uniform corrosion ability; good welding performance, small thermal cracking tendency; high coefficient of thermal conductivity, small coefficient of linear expansion etc. It is widely used in methanol production of tubular reactor catalytic bundles; the pulp and paper industry of sulfuric acid cooking preheater tube bundle; marine and continental petroleum oil and gas gathering pipelines; vinyl chloride production of preliminary condenser; crude oildesalting device of the heat exchanger tube, etc.
