Recently, the national heavy equipment project of Shaanxi Nonferrous Metals Holding Group Co., Ltd. undertaken by Baoti Group Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as “Baoti Group”), “Research on High-Performance Inconel625 Strip for New Energy”, made a breakthrough and successfully rolled out 6.5×1350×C mm high-strength nickel-based alloy ultra-wide hot coils.
Inconel625 is a typical diversified nickel-based high-temperature alloy, and its complex texture determines its special processing characteristics. In view of the problems of narrow deformation temperature range, large deformation resistance, fast hardening rate, and multiple and complex solid solution strengthening phases, since the beginning of the year, the group project team has prepared high-purity alloy ingots through the optimization of the core smelting process, and then studied the key dynamic parameters of ultra-wide alloys in different deformation temperature ranges according to the working conditions of the hot rolling production line, and formulated reasonable specific process systems such as rolling temperature, rolling speed, and continuous rolling distribution. After multiple program demonstrations and hot rolling simulations, the key preparation process parameters of hot-rolled coils were obtained, and ultra-wide alloy hot coils were successfully rolled.
At present, the international advanced technology can only complete the production of high-strength nickel-based alloy (Inconel625, Hastelloy C-276) coils with a width of 1219~1300 mm. This breakthrough in nickel-based alloy process technology has a far-reaching impact on improving the group’s nickel industry’s position in the domestic market, and will effectively promote the industry to connect with the international market and enhance the industry’s competitiveness.
