Homogenization Annealing

Homogenization Annealing: In order to reduce the chemical composition and the inhomogeneity of the castings or ingots, they are heated to slightly below the solidus temperature (100 C ~ 200 C below the melting point of the steel), incubated for a long time and cooled slowly , so that chemical composition and uniformity of the casting or ingot to be homogenized. Due to high temperature while diffusion annealing, so coarse grains are more big than expected after annealing, which can be fully annealed or normalized grains to get more fine grains.
